Also in the PSETUP.EXE 'Alternate Starting Conference' has been removed. ■- When ncompressing files proggy will now let you edit the extract options before proceeding, or just press ncompressing <Enter>. The -d option (maintain directory structure Files option) was missing - Fixed. Also when extracting to floppy it will add the volume -$ switch. So now there's a configuration screen ('B' from in the directory) to do it your way. What is expert mode? improvements Instead of having to tag files and move them to each dir use expert mode to define where it is to be moved to, then do a <M>ove and they will all be move to defined areas. It also now prompts confirm Y/N when exiting expert mode so tags won't be lost. Fixed a few bugs. ■- Some paths didn't show correctly in Dupe Checker - Fixed. - Fixed some getting file date bugs related to 4DOS (Scufi) ■- BOOMLAB v0.57 - When BOOMLAB exits it will now display and/or log whether the file PASSED or FAILED BOOMLAB. - [PCB] Added support for an external 'PCBFAIL.MSG' file displayed in PCBoard when a file fails. To define a block, mark Mark areas / the beginning and ending of area. Delete & Move <ALT+U> - Unmark all lines. \ <ALT+D> - Delete marked area. (popular demand) - <Tab> in the Archive viewer moves screen 20 spcs to the right, needed to view long ZIP embedded paths. - Couldn't delete files in embedded paths - fixed. ■- BOOMLAB v0.52 - Added support for External Dupe Checkers ZDCS and ULP both by Stacey Smith. They're fast and will External Dupe check contents of upload to detect if someone is trying Checkers to upload a renamed file. Select system to use and path ULP & ZDCS to it on Pg #1 of BOOMLAB setup. If using ULP create a ULP config file named BOOMULP.CFG and turn off all other options. PFED sometimes didn't allow files to be moved. Caused by flag getting set with 'No Files tagged' message - Fixed. BUGS... ∙ When deleting and all prompts are 'N' it exits. (Bionic) ∙ When sorting and default was not set it would display as '32' (space) and error if not changed - Fixed. ∙ ncompressing files to path didn't work if extension wasn't ZIP/ARC/LZH/ARJ (Ex: .VIR) now checks file header. ∙ DOWNLOAD COUNTER - Fixed some display & misc bugs. . FILES.BBS Importing - Strips comment lines if possible. Wrong file dates for NON-USA countries. (A. '|VP' & '|VV' macros now only shows 1st scanner. ∙ Sometimes a .ZIP would show version # as 78.7 or whatever. Upper byte was supposed to be for Host System (OS) so now BOOMLAB reports PKZIP v78.7 as PKZIP v1.9 under UNIX. ∙ Uploader name not added if file wasn't an archive - Fixed. 01/14/95 v0.81 ■- Added BOOMSORT program in package to handle HUGE and ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ multiple key sorts. Sorting by #4 'Date descending' Sort HUGE Dirs now sorts date descending and filename ascending. Hopefully can now sort dirs under OS/2 etc... ■- When trying to View, Get DIZ, or Process a file not online it will show "*ERROR*" instead of attempting any action as some people said this would lock up program - Fixed. ■- ARCHIVE VIEWER - .ARC files are now supported for viewing. ∙ Viewing files in recursive subdirs created and left behind those dirs after viewing was finished - Fixed. ■- DUPE REMOVER FIXES - Global <T> didn't tag ALL but first, When displaying over 18 dupes it locked up prog - Fixed. ∙ Thanks to BOOMSORT it should now work with larger BBS's. ■- LAST CALLERS - for PCB 15.2 didn't work - Fixed (2n10s) ■- BOOMLAB v.47 - Added a log for BOOMLAB. It will log all BOOMLAB Log test results, errors, file info and any BBS Ads deleted. Turn 'LOG file processing <Y/N>' in setup to 'Y'. Logs will be named BOOMLOG.#, where # is the node # (0=Local) ∙ Some European users said they can't the date check to Date Style work correctly under OS/2 and other environments. There »EUROS READ!« is now a manual date format selection in the setup, all NON-USA users make sure this is set. (DRAGON MASTER) Added .ARC ∙ PkWare's old PKARC (.ARC) archives are now supported by support BOOMLAB. Program PKPAK.EXE/PKUNPAK.EXE must be in path. ∙ When deleting random BBS ads by text keywords: files w/o extensions and files in subdirs weren't being scanned. Files weren't being deleted after being read - Fixed. Bug Fixes... ∙ Screwed up scanning files from embedded .ZIPs in v.46 and not all embedded archives were checked - Fixed. Create a filename such as BBSADTXT, included in this ZIP, with text to search for. One entry per line. ZAP files by BOOMLAB extracts all text files and search each for any text search! matching text! This should be lethal to those random BBS adders, but does take a little longer to process. Currently only ZIP's are supported. (Rifleman) ∙ Added support for AVSCAN v1.91 (c)H+BEDV Datentechnik GmbH A nice scanner from Germany available on CompuServe. ∙ If ZIP or embedded ZIP was part of a backup set it would fail (NO FILES), it now won't try to process the file but adds warning to desc 'WARNING! - BACKUP ZIP NOT TESTED!'. ∙ PKZIP version would sometimes show 1.0 when it was created using 2.0, the local header didnt have enough info, so now it reads the end central dir record-technical crap ;) ∙ If virus scan detects only a possible virus, BLAB now indicates it 'Might be' whatever named virus. 12/29/94 v0.79 ■- Added more CD-ROM support: From the DIR selection screen ≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈ <G> will import a FILES.BBS for only the highlighted area. Helps if re-doing or there's no master FILES.BBS. Boomlab bugs ∙ If no files to virus scan it won't scan, saving time. ∙ Fixed some 'bugs' dealing with getting virus name. ∙ Now detects a scheme people use to hide BBS Ads - Fixed. ∙ If ZIP or internal ZIP was part of a backup set PKUNZIP prompts 'Insert last disk' causing BLAB to stall - Fixed. 12/21/94 v0.78 ■- Added <F> 'Import CD-ROM areas using FILES.BBS to the ≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈ Dir selection screen. This reads the master FILES.BBS in the CD-ROM's root directory, automatically adds the Import FILES.BBS file area and imports the file descs. Can Handle 5 (CD-ROM) different types of FILES.BBS. (See PFED.DOC for more) ■- CONF EDIT: Inserting a File Area didn't work - fixed. ■- DOS/ARC VIEWER - Total Kb of tagged files is shown at top. ■- When selecting a dir with 0 files it fatal errored - fixed. ■- BOOMLAB v.44 - Archive Integrity Testing (CRC) is now done internally by BOOMLAB. If using standalone for CRC Testing PCBOARD, modify and use the updated PCBTEST.BAT included. Changed ∙ When internal archives are extracted for virus scanning they are also now CRC test. (Third Son/Wildchild) ∙ Added Setup setting 'Add Blank line between descs' this will add a blank line to end of all text for each file. ∙ If BBS Ad file was a volume label and over 8 bytes it wasn't deleted.
